Spain has Secrets, too

Published by Travel Blogger under Spain Destinations

Why can’t I seem to find a substantial information on the most beautiful and tranquil place in the Spanish land- Lleida?

I was a travel connoisseur; I experienced what its like to dine and drink wine in fine restaurants in France and museum hop in Italy, and spent a week tasting tapa all over Spain. But it was Lleida that caught my heart.

The choice came from a mature and well traveled person who knew what it means when we say just simply beautiful. Travel in Lleida opened so many facets and dimension of appreciation of colors and attractions. It sits right on the midst of the fertile land of River Segre. As history was told, it became the refuge of so many cultures through its existence. And how it flared against all these ravages can be connected to its symbol of capital, Seu Vella.

Let us see now the major attractions for a travel in Lleida.

  • Seu Vella is referred to as the Old Cathedral built in the early 13th century.

  • Old Wall Ruins are located just a few meters from Seu Vella. Onces this wall surrounded the whole city together with the Arab Fortress called Zuda which was built in 9th Century.

  • Plaza de la Paeria is a historic architecture with beautiful and picturesque corners. The city Hall is located here. A 13th Century Romanesque architecture.

  • The Cathedral Square boast two main magnificent building namely the Hospital de Santa Maria a charming and extravagantly made in Gothic in style building which is a former convent.

  • Sant Antoni is a great place for those who loves to shop and buy something to take back home.

  • Rambla de Ferran is a place to take a deep breath and relax after a days touring in the city. That is if you still have the time to hold hands and stroll in this place. A lovely place.

  • A visit to Leida in Spain means you have to take a look of the whole city. These major attractions may be seen in different eyes but for me, these attractions are just the icing of the cake. The true beauty of the place is in the totality of the picture that it paints for each travelers that came to visit.

Cadiz, Another Splendid Spanish City

Published by Travel Blogger under Spain Destinations

Spain is full of beautiful and splendid places, provinces and cities to travel and explore. Cadiz is one of Spain’s places of interest. Cadiz means Gadir meaning ‘enclosure’ for it is mostly surrounded by water.

Cadiz is a mixture of several cultures due to its history of conquerors and is a good travel destination. The city was founded around 1100 BC and in 500 BC it was conquered by Carthaginians then followed by Romans, Visigoth and Moors. The last conqueror ended their rule in 1262. Then it became Spain capital in the years 1810 to 1813; it was in this century that the beautiful architecture and monuments that you enjoyed on your Spain travel today was built.

On Spain travel, the least recommended sights are usually the places that can give you the most pleasant visual experience. Travel guides to Spain point out cities like Madrid and Barcelona to the tourists, though they have reason to do so, Cadiz should also be appreciated.

Flamenco is a fiery activity that tourist can watch in Cadiz; in fact they can watch it every Thursday night in cultural theaters around the place. The dance is a rhythmic tapping of the heels and toes with graceful movements of the arms, hips and body in tune with the rhythm of the drums.

Nature parks are also bountiful in Cadiz. It is an alternative tourist destination when beach combing is becoming lame for your taste. Artistic landscape of rivers, caves, limestone and spring can be appreciated in parquet Natural Sierra De Grazalema. To see the largest and biggest cork tree grove then visit Parque Natural Los Alcornocales. If you are fanatic of wild flowers then don’t miss Parque natural Bahia de Cadiz and Parque Natural del Estrecho.

A Spanish city- Cadiz is also famous for its beaches, museums, cathedrals, culture, and festivals.

After school, of course you want the best memories for your kids. You want to make their minds relax after the long run of studies. There is one place that still offer cheap travel vacation and yet boasts great sceneries and satisfying services, and it’s Spain. Spain is one of the best places to visit if you were looking for genuine tranquility. This is the best place where you can bring your kids with you. However, before venturing your Spain holiday always list down your place of itineraries so that you will never be confused where to start your excursion in the country.

On the other hand, one of the must see in Spain is the Museo del Prado. The museo houses some of the great paintings made by the famous Spanish artists who were Goya and Velasquez. This is a great place to bring your kids where they can have fun with the princesses wearing stunning dresses, big family scenes and princes on horseback. The museum is filled with significant paintings which has a great history. Visiting the museum early of time is advice; this is for you to keep away from any long lines when buying a ticket or entering the museum. While across from the Prado there is a small playground and swings where you can let your toddlers play.

Another interesting view to see in Museo de Prado is the Fountains in the Paseo del Prado where you can see the statue of the goddess Cibeles with his chariot as well as with the two endearing lions. Nearby the Paseo del Prado fountain is found the fountain of Neptune. The Naval Museum as well is a must see where it is the sanctuary of the Spanish galleons, collections of swords and cannons and more. Travel to Spain is best especially during holiday season, where you can see and enjoy a lot of things and places aside from the Museu del Prado.
