Algeciras is one city that is said to have 'very good connections'. There are sea voyages linking the city to neighboring Barcelona, and the countries of Portugal and Italy, as well as South America. It is one of the stops of the high speed catamarans that travel from Tarifa, Algeciras, Gibraltar and then to Tangiers, the city in northern Morocco. When it comes to trains, Algeciras is the final point of the railway that links to the capital city of Madrid. In terms of highways, Algeciras is in the middle of the N-340 motorway.
