POPULAR TRADITIONS
July is a festive month for the locals of Grazalema as they celebrate the Feast of Virgen del Carmen. As patron saint of Grazalema, this is the town's biggest event annually. Dances, cultural presentations, procession and display of fireworks never fail to elicit admiration from its visitors. The highlight of this event is a "bull run" wherein a real live bull with its flaring nostrils is released to the streets, ready to prey on whoever that blocks its way!
