Amfiteatre Rom

The Roman Amphitheater is situated at the seaside, immediately off the Rambla Nova. At the foot of Miracle Park and noticeably stamped from a cliff that ascends from the coast, this Roman amphitheater remembers the days in the 2nd century when thousands assemble here for leisure and entertainment.

The walls have been much tainted over the years, especially during the medieval times and in the 1600s. There are scenic views from many points along the way.

Monastery of Poblet

Another jewel of the province is the imposing fortified monastery of Poblet . Rising on an isolated valley and founded by Cistercian monks in the 12th century, it exhibits magnificent buildings, an exceptional alabaster retable, extraordinary pergola and royal tombs.

El Serallo

This is the maritime district of Tarragona . Tourists and locals have the chance to watch the fishing boats come in as well as witness the fish catch being auctioned at La Lonia (fish exchange), which is actually an age-old tradition.

Costa Daurada



The shoreline of the territory is branded as Costa Daurada (golden coast). With a sequence of sandy beaches, its resorts offer a more tranquil ambience than those of the Costa Brava .
