TRAVEL GUIDES DIRECTORY: FUERTEVENTURA SPAIN: PLAYA DE JANDÍA
PARKS
Jandía Nature Reserve
Located in the middle of the mountain and the beach, this majestic park occupies the larger part of the Jandía Peninsula. It is situated in the municipality of Pajara.
This unique park is an area of contrasts. While the dune landscapes located at the Isthmus of La Pared seem to be hidden by the thick sands, there are visible hillocks that emerge from them.
Included in the park are extraordinary plant species. The zone's fauna is truly worth the visit because of the wide range of species such as Houbara bustards, stonechats, kestrels, Egyptian vultures and broad-winged hawks. Here also is astonishing treasure of golden skinks, tarentola, lizards and a collection of invertebrates and insects.
