TRAVEL GUIDES DIRECTORY: MALLORCA SPAIN

TOWN TRANSPORT

Airport Transfers

An amount of £20 per person are now optionally charged by most UK tour operators now for people who wish to be readily transferred from the airport to their respective hotels. However, there is a service being offered by Mallorca Airport Transfers, whereby a uniformed driver is to meet you outside the airport arrivals hall displaying a greeting board with your name on it.

Buses

Buses can be found around towns, although the local bus service is much better around the southern resorts for the main reason that the bus operators are mostly from the south. Bus timetables are made available by at least 4 Bus Operators, although the general suggestion is to "sit and wait, and enjoy the sun" for the accuracy of the timetable may not be guaranteed. Buses may be full late in the morning (around 10 am) and towards dusk around 5pm-6pm), although the drivers may accommodate more despite non-availability of seats due to insistent passengers.

Taxis

Taxis are also a usual mode of transportation in the island, and are typically available on the arrivals hall. However, due to the growing number of tourists, it is not bizarre to wait in line. There is flag down rate for the taxis, yet it may sometimes be debased by drivers depending on the number of passengers, suitcases, and the time of day/night.

Travel Guides Directory: Mallorca Spain Trains and Boats

Both of these are also widely used in the area to accommodate respective types of excursions of tourists.
